Weekend school
We encourage you to take this opportunity to keep the children in touch with the Qur’an, the Islamic teachings, and their community. The program will focus on Qaida Nooranyia, reading Qur’an with Tajweed, and Islamic Studies.
Levels
Level 1: Qaida Nooranyia: Beginners
&
Level 2: Qaida Nooranyia: Advanced
❖ Beginners students are:
- Working on recognizing and connecting letters
- Working on pronouncing letters with fatha,damah, and Kasrah.
❖ Advanced students are able to read words with tashkeel (Fatha,Damamah, Kasrah, Skoon,….)
❖ Students will learn how to read Arabic words leading them to start reading from the Quran.
The class will be led by a certified and experienced teacher who specializes in Qaida Nooranyia
❖ Islamic Studies: Students will learn the following concepts
- Reviewing the 5 pillars of Islam
- The 6 pillars of Faith
- Allah’s creations & Prophet Adam’s story
- The Story of Prophet Ibrahim
- Stories from the seerah of the prophet Muhammed (PBUH)
- Islamic Manners
- Stories and lessons from the Qur’a
Level 3:
Reading Qur’an with Tajweed
❖ Students in this class are able to read from sentences or from the Qur’an. Then they will learn the correct rules and pronunciation when reading Qur’an.
❖ The class will be led by a certified and experienced teacher who holds an Ijaza certificate in teaching Qur’an with all the Tajweed rules.
❖ Islamic Studies: Students will learn the following concepts
- A deeper understanding of the 5 pillars of Islam
- Analysis of the 6 Articles of Faith
- Stories and lessons of the prophets
- Unraveling common misconceptions of Islam
- Proofs of Islam

Whoever travels a path in search of knowledge, Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradise.

The goal of the ICH Weekend/Summer School program is to offer a setting of positive Islamic learning and socialization with Muslim peers and staff. This encompassing Islamic education is provided with the goal of giving our children an exemplary manner in conducting their lives according to the Quran and the Sunnah and the school will do what it can to encourage such an environment.
Our goals include:
● Conducting Arabic classes to strengthen the grasp of the Arabic language and to foster understanding of the Quran.
● Quranic memorization and understanding.
● Conducting Islamic studies classes which include Fiqh, Ibadat, and Islamic mannerism to increase the knowledge of the Islamic religion among the students.
● Provide a healthy Islamic environment to provide means for positive socialization and interaction.
With the cooperation of the administration, teachers, and parents, we will Insha’Allah, be able to create such an environment and increase the knowledge of our young Muslim youth and thus provide them with the skills necessary to become confident, practicing Muslims.
